Films on TV over the holidays thread

I am starting this thread because normally I do not watch a lot of films. I have got Sky movies (can I advertise here?) as a little xmas treat and will unsubscribe after xmas.

Last night I watched "The Hills have Eyes" it was the 2006 new one. Much better than the old video.

I was impressed with that version. I noticed they changed some of the deaths. I wiated for the one where Mrs Bailock pushes the Mum out of the hospital window and she lanRAB in the Ambulance however this time around Mrs Bailock injects a pocket of air into the mums drip. Both are scary

THen the photographer one was excellent and this one was as good as the first. I like the way his headless body paused for a second or two before falling to the ground.

Does anyone know if they are doing remakes of the whole trilogy? :)

I really hope not! I thought the remake was rubbish. It was an utterly pointless film, all they did was change some of the deaths, besides that it was practically a frame for frame re-shoot. The deaths were worse too imo, particularly the beheading scene (you just can't beat the original for that one!).

Me neither. It does annoy me when they make crappy remakes of films that don't really need remaking! Nothing was worse than the Psycho remake, even if it was Gus VS' project, and not an attempt to make it better per se.

Tonight, Channel 4 Clueless Followed by ITV(1 or 2 not sure) Election. Clueless at 10.15 and Election is at 5 past Midnight I think, two absolutely brilliant High School Films. Election is slightly Dark compared to Clueless and has fabulous turns from Matthew Broderick and Reese Witherspoon. Definetely worth setting a tape/Sky+ for, its one of my favourite films.
