I dont know if this thread exists, but i thought it would be cool to have a thread in which you can talk about any films youve managed to have an early viewing of (i.e. before general release in the UK)

Last weekend I saw the new Ninja Turtles film, which was fun for a big fan of the show back in the 80s/90s

And this week I saw John Travoltas latest big comeback film, Wild Hogs. It was suprisingly very very funny and the audience reaction was great. Its got alot of late 80s/90s favourites, such as Ray Liota, Tim Allen, Martin Lawrence & William H. Macy
Also John C. McGinley AKA Dr Cox from Scrubs had a extended cameo.
The film has been a huge hit in america, and i can see it being a nice comeback vehicle for alot of the actors involved, especially Martin Lawrence who hasnt really had a hit beyond Bad Boys and Big Momma films

Mischief Nights was an absolute hoot. Everything about it is bonkers. I loved its incredibly caustic sense of humour.

I saw The Lives of Others - this was a very disturbing film, about a writer who is monitored by the Stasi (East German secret police) a few years before the Berlin Wall came down. It was introduced by a bloke from the Goethe Institut, in which he compared it to 1984, which I thought was quite fair. The acting was great.

I'm going to see Days of Glory next week, it sounRAB very good. It's about Algerian soldiers fighting for France in World War II.

Ah really looking forward to seeing Days of Glory.

I had tickets to Blades of Glory, the new Will Ferrell Ice Skating film (think Anchorman or Taladega Nights). But i have tickets to Pans Labyrinth and Volver double screening at the same time. As much as i like a laugh, im yet to see these 2 oscar films and wont get another chance.
Ill just pay for Blades
