Film locations in your area ?

not sure if this thread will take off but lets see

Mentioned yesterday in another thread that part of Shaun of the dead was film very close to where I live ( and am now hated for it ;) )
and was wondering if anyone had film related things going on in their area

to get the ball rolling here's my little list

Shaun's house from Shaun of the dead. about 15 minutes walk away.

My local Pizza take away was where the kiRAB in 28 weeks later picked up the bikes after breaking out of the compound (I can still recommend the pizza from there )

Gillian Anderson lived in this area for a few years when she was younger

Saw part of the alien vampire film Lifeforce being filmed at Alexandra palace back in the 80's
 
Oooo Just looked and apparently, my town was used for a car chase in The Fourth Protocol, also there was a shot of the Orwell Bridge (which is just at the back of my house)

Not a film location but it was also mentioned in the film Stardust.

lol not half as impressive as living near Shaun's house! :D
 
I live on a the estate used in the Jude Law film Breaking & Entering. Quite often there's different things being filmed here - hmm, always seems to be the likes of Prime Suspect and Silent Witness!

The street where I work literally has something being done on it every week - sometimes it'd be a low-key fashion shoot, sometimes it's a big budget film or TV show. It's an old victorian street near Whitechapel, so they always use it for period pieces.
 
MiRABummer Murders have used The Paragon Suite, a private wing of the NHS hospital in Slough... and Black Park, Harry Potter scenes amongst others...
 
I honestly can't think of anything that's been filmed in or near Greenock.. oh other than a few episodes of Taggart. They'll pulled bodies out of the River more than once :D

I used to live in Edinburgh and of course quite a few films have been made there including Trainspotting of course, apart from the parts that were filmed in areas of Glasgow I recognised.
 
The 51st State was filmed where I live as was Swing, The Parole Officer, Alfie and numerous TV features such as My Beautiful Son, Lilies, Ruby In The Smoke, Bonkers and Casualty 1907.

Grange Hill is filmed up the road and Hollyoaks regularly film in and around the City (just last week I was watching them film across the street from where I live).

The producers of The Dark Knight checked out our skyline and buildings.
 
The last Bond film was done round here, as is Top Gear, a film called Holiday with Cameron Diaz and Jude Law, tv film The Gathering Storm and also Foyles War.
 
Chatsworth House about 25 minutes drive from where I live was used for the latest film of Pride and Predudice.

Nearby Haddon Hall was used for Jane Eyre.

Sheffield, was used for "The Full Monty".

Nope, not a thing filmed in the village where I live, or the next town.

Though, the first Harry Potter film was filmed about twenty miles away. Not sure if the second one filmed some stuff here. Alnwick Castle, did they film anymore Potter movies at the Alnwick Castle exterior?
 
Some scenes for the Harry Potter movies were filmed at Lacock near me.

Also, the big Motorola building was used in a James Bond film (not sure which film, it was made in the early 2000's?)
