Fill & Pour Pattern for Math?

For math, we have to deal with the 'Fill & Pour' stimulation, & what we have to do is find the pattern of why it works...The project is due Thursday-Friday, & when you Google "Fill & Pour" its one of the first links that pops up...No idea what the pattern is supposed to be for it, but we're supposed to do a presentation on it so any help is appreciated
