Filing a complaint about my lawyer?

I was in an auto accident, with 3 other people. We all went to the same lawyer but signed seperate contracts. Since day one, there has been zero communication from them, and due to this they never told me what I should do with any medical bills. But when I did call they just told me to send the bills into their office. I did this.

I recieve my settlement breakdown in the mail over a week ago, and one of my bills had been left unpaid. My lawyer explains he told my dad to tell me to send them into MY insurance. This was NEVER told to me..hence, the reason why my bill never got paid.

Over the last week and a half, I have made four calls and sent out 4 different e-mails, only to get responses that beat around the bush, or have nothing to do with the issue at hand AT ALL.

Aside from this, he continues to share my confidential information about my case to the other 3 people involved in the accident (for expample, the amount of money I got in the settlement..what DR I go to..etc etc)

Me & my mom are filing complaints...but WHAT do I need to include, any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated...or am I out of line? Is what he is doing fair?
OldJimmy: Thank you for your reply..I do appreciate it...

I am 24, and married and my dad and I have not lived together for quite some time..and we rarely talk as he is a heavy alcoholic. I just feel as though, if we are paying this lawyer each indiviually he needs to communicate with us each individually
Tony 7, thank you for your response!

I live in Missouri, and what I mean by no communication, is that I have called and called to ask him why he never told the 3 other people in this case where to send our bills, and he will not respond to the question I am asking him.

Am I wrong in thinking, that he should have told each of us individually and important detail such as this?? None of us live together, or see each other often and he knows this. B/c he ASSUMED my dad would tell us...we are left with unpaid bills
I really struggle with idea that it was my dads fault, why would it be his job to communicate information FOR my lawyer. He is paying his secretaries to do jobs such as this..he isn't paying my dad anything. I agree it was sloppy..but this sloppiness is costing me $600 and my mom $1800

Had he simply picked up the phone, or gave us the correct info when we asked about where to send them (they said just to their office) I wouldn't be having this issue..my dad has a serious illness which prohibits him from relaying any messages. Seeing as he is drunk 24/7

but TONY 7..thank you alot..for helping me with this, its really nice of you
