filed down teeth cant talk right please help i need peoples storys?

i went to the dentist a few weeks ago and he filed down some of my teeth and now it feels like my teeth don't line up right and i have a little lisp when i talk and it hurts i find myself having trouble saying certain words now especially words with S's in them can he fix this has anyone ever been in the same spot im in please help im scared ill be talking like this forever
