I'm just wondering, because as I write this scene in my story where two people who love one another finally come together after they have lost everything and only have each other, I find it hard to make it sexy and steamy because the emotion is much deeper than that. So I guess what I'm trying to ask is, does a sex scene have to evoke sexual arousal in the reader, or can it be used as a way to evoke a deeper emotion?
