Ok here is a recap of my sickness...I'm 31yr old Male by the way...On July 8th on Wed. I started getting a fever, and this fever persisted for 4 days from the 8th-12th and each time was around 100-102.5 or so.... It was accompanied by headaches, loss of apetite, fatigue, dry cough, and overall just not feeling like myself. I could bring down my fever with Tylenol and Ibprofen...
So I figured if I still had this fever on the 13th which would have been day 5 then I was going to see a Dr, however the fever went away on days 5-6, which would have been July 13th-14th. I assumed I just had some kind of a viral bug or something.
But on July 15th my fever and all of my other symptoms came back, and I had the same fever 100-102.5 for the next 3 days...so on Friday July 17th I saw a Dr.
The Dr did a urine test, which came back clean. Then he listened to my chest and he said he thought he could hear faint crackling noises so he thought maybe I had walking pnemonia. He gave me a cortizone shot in my shoulder and a 10 day prescription to Bactrim antibiotics. (Ive never had Bactrim before I've only ever had Amoxicillin)
Since then the rest of Friday, and Saturday were fine...however I was not convinced it was the shot/antibiotics as earlier on days 5-6 my fever went away on its own, so I wasnt sure if this was another case of it going away by itself or if the medication truly helped.
Well now we come to today Sunday and my fever is back...its not as high its around 100.7. I still have the other symptoms such as dry cough, headache, and just a general feeling of not being right.
I'm not sure what to do at this point...I've never had a fever last like this at anytime in my past...
