Fellow Republicans: what is the yardstick that resulted in Michele Bachmann heralded

as a viable candidate? Palin appears to be down for the count and now we have the equally "profound" Ms. Bachman. Can we request the factory that keeps turning out these "models" to shut down for the good of all of us? The only group benefiting with our dance with lunacy is Comedy Central.

I am a sedentary, overweight and ultra conservative republican and I am about mad enough to spit!
 
Thank GOD!!!! There you are!!!! I wondered where all the good, decent, thoughtful Republicans I knew as I grew up were!! I hope more of you find your voice and stop the lunacy happening in the GOP
 
Not sure how a "yardstick" figures into this, literally or figuratively. The people have the right to elect officials they want. Collectively this creates democracy. You may believe the elected official is qualified or you may believe they're an idiot. But whatever you think, if they got elected then that's what the people wanted. And if this idiot is your representative, then you are in the minority. Move somewhere else or suck it up.
 
I am a Democrat, but cannot help but feel your pain. Is there anyone in the realm of Presidential nominees for the Republicans that isn't a joke like Palin or Bachmann, or has negatives galore like Gingrich, Romney, and Huckabee? Seriously.
 
I like Michelle Bachmann but I don't think she's presidential material. I do think she is Senatorial material, however. I'd still vote for Sarah Palin for president without a second thought. I like Herman Cain too.
 
There has to be a well spoken, well informed female in the republican party, but they don't want the attention. Who would? It's the closest thing to torture.
That leaves us -w- the male candidates this time round. Maybe they will bring a smart v.p candidate to light. (for real this time)
You either get charismatic (Sarah Palin) or smart (Meg Whitman), but you don't get both.
I'm kinda open to a Romney/Whitman ticket.

a Huckabee/Fiorina ticket
 
your Washington DC corruption is coming to an end. You are not willing to admit that a distant monopoly corrupt government is just a crime ring for big politician.
