FELLOW ARMY WIVES AND GIRLFRIENDS, I need your help?

Okay so my boyfriends in the army and he got me a set of dogtags just like his for my birthday. I wear them to keep him close to my heart and so i always have a part of him with me. My stepmother sees differently. I came down the stairs and they have a little jingle sound because I do not have silencers on them yet. Well she said that every time she hears them, she thinks of a dog, and she can't help but think that I'm just his little bitch. I could not believe she would actually say something that mean and disrespectful. Not only is that upsetting to me but I know that there are lots of military girlfriends that where their partners dogtags who would love to hit her right now. If you don't mind, I want her to read your postings so maybe she gets a clue. So here are the questions.. Why do you where your boyfriends/husbands dogtags? Would you be upset if she said this to you and why? And please feel free to write any other comments. I dont think she understands the stress and heartache that girlfriends and wives of soldiers have to go through so I would really appreciate if yall would help me out. Im not a fellow army wife or girlfriend , but if i was in your situation HELL YEA id be mad.
But some people dont understand, so just turn your head like you dont care. You should be proud to wear those dog tags , sh!t i know i would & your boyfriend/husband is damn well happy to have you as a gf
Dont let people get you down , even if it is family & they should be the ones to understand you the most sometimes they dont understand cuz they arent in your position.
But, you should be proud even if people say stuff to hurt you just think about why your wearing the dog tags & you might feel better .
