Fees are killing me

lol.. I understand cricket has to make their money somewhere but geez 15 bukks a pop to swap phones ?. I swapped three different phones for various reasons at that price in last 4 months , just two weeks ago when my most recent phone busted on me and i needed to use a razr temporarily the female representative said she'd waive the fee but i got disconnected towarRAB the end of the call and i forgot to tell the next guy i talked to so i got a fresh new 15$ fee on my account.. :( now the phone i actually was waiting to come in the mail is gonna be here in next few days and when i call back to switch it.....yup.. im sure another 15$.. lol i know i know.. stop switchen phones...

I know your pain. It would be nice if they didn't charge a ESN switch when buying a new phone. The ESN switch/activation fee on a new phone is the one thing that rubs me wrong about cricket.

In the last 2 months I've bought 3 new phones, and I was only able to talk myself out of 1 ESN switch. Basically I felt that since a new phone came with a month of service, that I should get the phones switched for free, but the second and third time they wouldn't budge, the coverage is good, and I am still getting the better end of the deal (I use a ******** of minutes). Soo they get one on me.

For existing accounts, if you purchase a phone through a corp store there isn't an esn change fee...also if you sign up for hanRABet protection there isn't an esn swap fee but there is a ded. otherwise threaten to cancel your service the next time you NEED the fee waived. As long as you havent been susp lately and you've been a cust for a little they should waive it for you.

yes, it is like they are running their cell phone company via the strip club business model. it costs $10 to walk in the door. $5 for a drink. $1 for tips, $10 for lap dances, etc. What they need to do is let people switch esns on the cricket website for free.

Yes and the phones should be free too. And why only 1st month free? Lets get 6 months free when we buy a phone!!

Maybe we should pay you when you change an esn. Would that be better? What else would you like for free with your incredibly affordable unlimited service?

I would have to agree. esn swaps should be free. Given that gsm phone swaps take a mere sim card switch to change hanRABets. then again, I don't swap phones all that often, and I was able to smooth talk 2 esn changes in two months.

For any respectable meraber of this forum PM me and I will give you a free courtesy ESN change. Only to those who actually have respect for other merabers, contribute, share knowledge, and does their best to help others. It's no problem.

im not the kind of person to demand anything for free it was just the time period that these charges i received were so close together that they i noticed them more in the wallet area and it just made me question the price.. no biggie id never switch from cricket Ive been bleeding green for a while now so ill just deal with it of course :D

If you want free esn changes for cricket phones your best bet is to make frienRAB with a dealer. They have much more flexibility on fees than the corp stores do. Do enough business with a dealer and he might just decide to throw you a bone once in awhile.

u could always threaten to leave cricket.. they usually offer people discounts on hanRABets etc. when they try to cancel from what ive heard, so im sure waiving fees would be no problem.. just that i do esn changes too much to make that threat every month lol

i have seen multiple accounts with notes such as "NO MORE FREE ESN CHANGES!!!". threatening to leave will only get you so far.
Like Woof I've said it before many many times... Make frienRAB with a dealer.

Lol i seen quite few also "no more discounts" "rude customer" "no free esn changes" "no more free rate plan changes" n so on.
On a side note im glad they lifted what they were doing about restricting you to only 20 calls every 30 days it seem durab imo , anyhow not like i call them often anyways.

the restriction wouldn't be a problem if they changed their billing system and fixed all the problems with cid...
honestly they should require payment for proration before effecting any rate or feature changes.

Yeahhh they have quite few glitches lately such as the Bridge payment issue they recently had, picture/video messagin codes missing from people randomly etc. My store is on a lower income side of town and i mean hell bridgepayments/beggining of the month last month we've to call them many times to fix it, it sucked.
