Feeling shocked out by banal stuff

I haven't seen the South Park episode "Scott Tenorman Must Die", but I've seen it cited in another thread, so I looked for it in Wikipedia some minutes ago (I'm not a fan so I don't care for spoilers) and I felt (and still fell) shocked by just reading the plot, even by not reading it in detail. I feel a bit stupid also, since the show is praised by a lot of smart people and I don't know what to do now for feel myself better.
 
Ummm...if you want to feel better, you should probably actually watch the episode. It's probably a lot more entertaining that just reading a wikipedia entry.
