I'm sorry dude, you just sound like you are seriously micro managing your Bike which can become a debilitating ailment.
I ask a lot of questions at times to just not the same one different ways.

The money I spent on 3 builds on my dyna after breakage could have gone to a crate motor. If I were doing anything with my RG I'd be looking at the HD SE120R or JIMS 120/131.

Notice I said IF...big motors and big HP are going to have breakage no matter what I build/spend because I'm going to hammer on it . I ride. My 09 RG had 10K miles in a few months. My 03 dyna just hit 10K since my initial build in 08. That said I trade off speed for reliability with my RG.

Good luck.

I had acquired the parts to do a 103" build but instead opted to stay at 96". I sold my pistons/gaskets/compression releases but have been patient and obtained a James .036 top end kit for my 96" quest at a good price. Now I'm trying to determine the right amount of headwork I want done for this build. I've been given some very good advice by forum members and I'll have to decide. A 107" build sounds good but that would require me spending $500 on pistons/boring, more extensive headwork with cr's and selling my 204's and probably paying more for a different cam set. So far I have about $390 into my 204's (lightly used)/lifters (99b)/cam (Cometic)-top end (James)-primary (Cometic) gaskets/hd clutch spring (Barnett) with all being new. Add maybe a few hundred $$ for headwork along with a FM tune and I'm HOPING the 96" will be smooth, efficient and strong running reliable bike....
