I had acquired the parts to do a 103" build but instead opted to stay at 96". I sold my pistons/gaskets/compression releases but have been patient and obtained a James .036 top end kit for my 96" quest at a good price. Now I'm trying to determine the right amount of headwork I want done for this build. I've been given some very good advice by forum members and I'll have to decide. A 107" build sounds good but that would require me spending $500 on pistons/boring, more extensive headwork with cr's and selling my 204's and probably paying more for a different cam set. So far I have about $390 into my 204's (lightly used)/lifters (99b)/cam (Cometic)-top end (James)-primary (Cometic) gaskets/hd clutch spring (Barnett) with all being new. Add maybe a few hundred $$ for headwork along with a FM tune and I'm HOPING the 96" will be smooth, efficient and strong running reliable bike....
