[h=3]Associated Press[/h] NEW YORK — After setting off a storm of criticism from abortion rights groups, upset that a Democratic president had sided with social conservatives, the Obama administration says it will comply with a judge's order to allow girls of any age to buy emergency contraception without prescriptions.
The Justice Department on Monday notified U.S. District Judge Edward Korman it will submit a plan for compliance. If he approves it, the department will drop its appeal of his April ruling.
But one critic of the contraception plan, at the anti-abortion Family Research Council, says the president is caving in to political pressure, rather than making the health of girls and parental rights a priority.
