So my husband is active duty stationed at Schofield Barracks Hawaii on the island of Oahu. My question is, where the heck are all the jobs at? How can I get a really decent federal job, from websites such as usajobs.com or from cpol? I am a reservist but they're saying in order for me to claim veterans pref I need to have been active duty for a minimum of three years, is that true? I'm just having a really hard time getting my foot in the door, it seems I can't get a job anywhere and all the announcements I apply for I get constantly denied for. Anybody have any suggestions on how they got jobs in Hawaii? Resume tips? Anything?! Please, only useful advice based on your experiences or knowledge only.
I have experience in supply, and administrative/secretary type of skills but I am however interested in any type of position as long as the training is provided.
