For the past two years I have had an almost permanent blocked nose. Apparently this is caused by allergic rhinitis.
I went for allergy testing but the only thing out of the eight I was allergic to was grass pollen. I've also seen an ENT consultant who couldn't see anything wrong.
I have had steroid nasal sprays which just make my nose bleed and consequently make it worse; I have had sodium-based sprays which make no difference; I've had Sterimar sea water spray which gives immediate relief but doesn't last; I've been on antihistamines varying between fexofenadyne and various others as well which don't seem to make any differnce. One doctor suggested taking Piriton at night, but again, no difference.
Trouble is, that none of these seem to make a blind bit of difference to it. It gets really bad at night and goes through perioRAB of being worse all the time too. I really am at a loss as to what to do. When I go to the doctors, I just get a new prescription of 'something else to try' but the cost mounts up!
Any ideas? I really want to get this sorted!!!
