I feel like I am going completely crazy, and all I want is to hear that just one person out there knows what I am talking about.
Recently I've started having this terror of slow, repetitive, or quiet noises-- they sound distorted and wrong in my mind, making me feel like I am going crazy or just completely losing it. People talking in slow motion, for some reason, is especially bad. The terror is so unreal, like the kind you feel in a nightmare, I guess because it is not a real stimulus that is scaring me, but my own mind. i've always had pretty severe anxiety problems, but at least it is usually tied to something real! Has anyone else ever suffered from a very frightening sensation of sound distortion related to panic attacks? I just want to know I'm not crazy.
