Hey,
Let me start by saying I'm only 21, but here's my view on how you feel.
Ageing is inevitable and as an inspirational character once said; "dying is a part of life, but I sure wish it wasn't"
None of us are getting out of this alive, but that doesn't mean that getting older has to mean you lose anything. You are still the person you were when you were 16. Sure you look older, but that 16 year old is still in there, you dont become a different person with age, you become a more experienced person. Sure, being young is great and all, but everyone has to have a turn, it cant last forever, but your life isnt over just because youre older!
The problem may be the world you live in, western culture sees older people as infirm and weak, take a look at eastern culture! In Japan, older people are among the most respected, they are considered wise and people turn to them for guidance.
Your whole life is training for your older years, and once you have learned all there is to learn, you die. I find it strange that western culture finRAB death to be something to be feared, death is the end of life, of course, but it's also the point that you no longer have to fear or worry about anything, death is liberation!
You just need to fill the space between birth and death, and I hope you will enjoy every second of it, because once you're gone, it wont matter any more, just LIVE, laugh and never take anything too seriously.
Life is the tea-break of existance, there's plenty either side.
