Several sites offer the text free but you have to have a torrent or rapid program to run the download. I don't know the first thing about torrents other than I see offers of free stuff to torrent users all the time.
Audible.com has the audio book for $7.95. It's worth it. And yes, it's available at ANY public library. It's an American classic!
 
You can't. I'm sure Hunter S. Thompson would rather have people read his books from actual paper rather than online, isn't that the point of a book? Sorry, but I think you should either borrow the book from a someone or read it at the public library or a book store.
