FDR? The Great Depression of 1929? Television? What is Biden thinking?

Where does Biden get the idea that FDR talked to the nation on television during the Great Depression? Herbert Hoover was the president and TV didn't exist. Will he sink his own ticket?

Joe Biden is pretty well known for putting his foot in his mouth. I can't think of any other examples but I have seen some reports.

Think of it this way, would you rather have him harmlessly as the VP (unless he takes after Cheney and starts shooting) or as your kid's history teacher? I think VP is a little safer. (Remember Quayle and spelling 'potato" or is it 'potatoe'?)
