FCC---They listen...and act!

Well, a few months ago, I contacted the FCC via an online form (found here) and filed a complaint. I complained how Verizon Wireless only seems to be the bottomless pit to my pocket and how me and many other customers are becoming aggravated. I also complained about a few other minor things.

I received a response by mail about 1-2 weeks ago. It was just confirming my complaint and told me how to give them more information if I need to. It also said it was being investigated.

Yesterday, I received a funny phone call. It was from Verizon Wireless. I was busy, so it went to voicemail. It went kinda like this:
I thought, when I listened to it, WOW! The FCC actually has taken action. It did take a few months, but they listened. Now Verizon is listening more than they were...because the boss guy's now in town. It may be a start to something good. I'm not sure if anything will be done about what I've complained about...but at least it has gotten somewhere!

Just thought I'd share.

wow - I wouldn't have expected that - In the same respect, there has to be someone in customer service at Verizon that is handed FCC compliants.

I was just shocked to see a response...

Considering my first mail response was by the FCC and then the one from Verizon by phone...

And the fact they're actually going to investigate to see what's up...and then get back to me!

By all means, SWITCH!

But remember you are still responsible for any early termination fees if you switch before your contract is finished.

Verizon Wireless has some of the best features and services available.

They just like to limit the use of them to certain customers and stuff like that. I basically complained, not because I was unhappy, but because a large population was and I wanted to see if I actually received a response.

I am very happy with Verizon Wireless. I've had nearly every wireless carrier you could have had, in the past.

My contract was finished years ago, that's part of the problem I suppose. I can't have my contract grandfathered in if I don't have a contract. I'd renew with Alltel for another two years if they had a phone I like, but they don't. So I figure I'll go ahead and get a two year contract with Verizon for a phone I do like. It just feels like I'm downgrading is all, and that I have no choice in the matter.
