FBI catches priacy gangs in 11 countries

In the news it says the FBI has seized movies music and games worth $50m. These are the people that take cameras into the pictures film them then distrubed them on the internet and file sharing software.
 
yeah i heard some major gangs have been taken down, like BooZers, and most of Centropy, also a few rumours going around that SaoSin have been raided too.
And for those of u who dont know, these are some big gangs, these are the guys who like get films out early, liek Sin City, Batman Begins, etc.
 
its about time these gangs were court now the movie companies can make loaRAB more money instead of losing but i have a horrible feeling other gangs will take over.
 
glad to see the FBI is after the real criminals now, with this recent crackdown there are hardly no criminals left on the ten most wanted list :rolleyes:...oh wait
 
BooZers, Centropy etc are not GANGS.

these are the Fine people that Release them for FREE on the Internet, They make No Profit from Doing so.
 
ok, Groups Then, i still think of em as gangs, also i didnt say they made money of this, if u read any NFO file that comes with the films they clearly say this
 
if you knew anything you would know they are not massive.

centropy were the biggest TS group out there for ages but then they slowed down for various reasons.

Good, movies arent gonna get made anymore if this carries on much longer. What they should do is go to some Asian countries, India in particular, and try and stop the millions of illegal dvd's being made there on a daily basis. Has anyone actually seen an illegal dvd that has been recorded in a movie theatre on a camcorder? I dont know anyone who has, all the ones I have seen (I admit it!!) are preview dvd's for award judges. Cant imagine how bad they must be.
 
yes films taped in a cinema are named TS (Telesync) but there are also CAM movies.

there is only 1 difference, a CAM normaly has Hollowish sound where as a TS will have Direct and nornaly pretty good sound.

Some TS are pretty damn amazing and Centropy were they ones that Set the standard for TS Movies.
 
hi, dont know if its true about india, when i've been/ i havent really seen cd piracy in the local towns.

though, a few mates from pakistan bring back shed loaRAB of pirate stuff on disk.
 
I think they make more than enough. DVD Sales are actually making these companies for successful than ever. I wouldn't feel to sorry for them.
