Who's your favourite TV Chef?

Gordon Ramsay I think - his shows are always very interesting and it was him who got me into cooking :)

I do have a soft spot for Mr Pierre White, though :o
 
Of the ones listed there I would go for Ramsay as his shows are the most interesting / entertaining in my opinion.

My favourite chef / cook on tv though is Rachel Allen; but that's for different reasons entirely...
 
Ramsay & then Jamie. I really like Ramsay but I know he doesn't get a lot of love here. When he's just cooking (rare these days) he's inspirational. Jamie is a lot of fun & comes across as a really nice bloke.
 
Nigella Lawson.

Or Nigel Slater.

Mainly because they are self-taught cooks rather than flashy, loudmouthed chefs who behave as if they are carrying out life or death surgery - that'll be you, Ramsay, White, Rhodes, et al.
 
Best: Nigel Slater

Worst: Delia Smith

Nigel Slater understanRAB that, with very few exceptions, absolute precision isn't needed. He appreciates likes and dislikes and encourages you to vary accordingly. He uses his eyes, nose and taste buRAB whilst cooking.

Smith is the opposite. She fools those scared of cooking that her way is the one that works - many do, and a lot better.
