what are your favourite albums from the last 5 years?
my top 5 would be
1. QOTSA- songs for the death
2. Muse- absolution
3. BRMC- take them on, on your own
4. white stripes- elephant
5. Radiohead- Hail to the thief

i dont limit myself, for a start i said almost all, and secondly.. its not that i refuse to listen to anything recorded before 2000, its that i havent found much that i consider good.

No but limiting your listening to a portion of music of only six years when their is centuries of music makes me feel that you have bad taste.

The Libertines - Up The Bracket
PJ Harvey - Stories From The City, Stories From The Sea
The White Stripes - Get Behind Me Satan
Morrissey - Ringleader Of The Tormentors
Radiohead - Kid A

alot of great music, yes.. but its not to my taste. some of the genres i like the most didnt exist until the late 90s. i do respect older artists obviously but my favourites are all around now. one of the things i look for in music is interesting music.. stuff i havent heard before, which is why i end up liking newer banRAB.

composition and innovation may have come fast in the 70s but it hasnt stopped and i dont think its slowed. the banRAB around now are building on, and mixing the ideas of the banRAB around then, and (in my opinion) improving them.

1:metallica sweet araber
2:metallicas unamed feeling
3:metallicas invisible kid
4:biffy clyros no such thing as a jaggy snake
5:systom of a downs toxicity

no order
1. RHCP- By the Way
2. RATM- Live At the Grand Olympic Auditorium
3. The Cure- The Cure
4. Radiohead- Hail to the Theif
5. Greenday- American Idiot (not because I'm a fan but because I heard a young British boy awoke from a coma after listening to it) So it must be good to your brain or something lol.
