For me it's between 'Sound of Music' and 'Mary Poppins'.

Poppins (or Pawpins as Dick Van Dyke puts it) wins it.

West Side Story is considered one of the best musical of all time but I just couldn't get past the first five minutes. I may try it again one day.

I agree. Apart from the jazz and ballet cr*p in the 'gotta dance' sequence, which seem to drag a bit.

I also really enjoyed Moulin Rouge.
