Favourite actor/actresses from U.K/Ireland

Having just seen the thread about last nights dreams, mine was about David Jason!

Don't know where that came from but when it comes to my favourite UK/Irish actors he is my no1 with Daniel Day-Lewis 2nd.

My favourite female is Maggie Smith love all her work.

Considering the industry is saturated with actors thats all I really like and never fail to enjoy whatever shows/films they do.

Richard Griffiths is my favourite British actor. Superb in Withnail And I.
For comedy it would have to be Rob Brydon. He cracks me up in Gavin And Stacey!

I'm a big fan of Rufus Sewell. Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie are brilliant too.

In terms of actresses, I thought Linda Henry was brilliant as Yvonne in Bad Girls (I think she's in a soap now) but I've heard that she's not a very pleasant person.
