Favorites on my TX

Just got a TX, after previously using a Tungsten E. The one thing I do not like on is the "Favorites", which always appears by default first. How can this be switched off? Or at the very least, relegated to second press of the Home button?

Used zLauncher to disable but then founf that the Home button can be set to select Applications first!

Couldn't see the wood for the trees!
