Favorite movie couple? DISCUSSION - tell us WHY they are your favorite?

Jamie/Landon (A Walk to Remember) - They had amazing chemistry in the movie and their love was just utterly amazing :sigh: Its like the classic love story and Im a sucker for those. He changed for her and he grew to love the real her no matter what his friends thought and thats true love :love:
 
I just caught up with this thread, and I totally agree with the statement above. Having seen AWTR just recently and being a fan of Titanic for years, I realize that I am most touched by these examples of idealized, perfect, unconditional love. These couples show the transformative, transcendent power of love, Even if their relationships aren't allowed to last forever on Earth, what they share is deeper, more intense and more meaningful than what most people probably experience. When I watch Titanic or AWTR, I think to myself, "That is what love means."

Now, in terms of onscreen couples that are just FUN to watch, I'd add Jack Sparrow and Elizabeth Swann from POTC. The chemistry and attraction are simply too strong to deny. :lol:
 
Inman and Ada from Cold Moumtain :love: Because they hardly knew eachother yet he came back to her.
Ennis and Jack from Brokeback Mountain. Does it really need explaining?
Elizabeth and Darcy from Pride and Prejudice, because I love the love/hate relationships.
Cady and Aaron from Mean Girls, because they are so cute!

Edit: OMG. I forgot Jo and Laurie from Little Women!
 
Say it isn't so Nikki. :lol: No, Johnny & June were just unexplainably perfect. But Mimi & Roger will always be my first and most favorite movie couple. They weren't the most perfect couple but they needed each other and loved each other so much.
 
If you love WE, you'll be happy, actually I didn't mind them but overall, I didn't like the ending, not as a shipper but as POTC fan
 
another of my favorite movie couples has to be michael and selene from the underworld movies. i like watching these two interract with eachother, its so obvious how they feel about one another but they're not sure what's going on with them. luckily it works out in the end and they can be together.
 
Johnny and June from "Walk the line" are my favourite couple, I think. This was true love and it's even based on a true story. They had such a long way to go but they never gave up on each other. They were perfect to me :love:
 
As hard as a decision as this is, I would have to say that my favorite movie couple have to be Jaime and Landon from A Walk to Remember. Their chemistry in it is amazing, the romance and genuine love and affection i definitely a once in a lifetime type of love. Against all odds, they were soulmates. Makes me tear up just thinking about it!
 
Yay! :D Hehe. I was SO annoyed with the whole Bobby/Kitty thing that I would not mind John/Rogue at all. And yes, John/Rogue would've been hotter! :D



I haven't watched POTC3 yet, but I love Will/Elizabeth, there's something about J/E, too.
 
Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward in The Long, Hot Summer. Those two were so great in that movie. Not only did they give great performances, but they had such strong chemistry between them. The scene where he talks to her from outside her room, I thought the screen would catch on fire it was so hot. And how he would stare at her with those blue eyes and then their kisses always said something about what was going on, but something hidden as well.
 
It's definitely Romeo and Juliet for me... I'm really amazed that at such a young age, they tried to defy the odds just to be with each other. Although it ends tragically, the young couple portrays how wonderful love can be, how great is the feeling of falling in love for the first and for the last time... :blush:
 
I have ALOT of favorite Movie characters but of ALL time for me is Sally and Gary from Practical Magic,just the mere fact that he came into her life exactly when she needed him to[sp]all because of a Spell she cast as a child[/sp] Just everything about them was Magical (No Pun intended there) THAT couple right there is what Makes Practical Magic my fave movie of all time.
 
Alex/Sophie in Music and Lyrics--wtf, i don't a goshdarn, i mean they become a couple at the end, which made me a very happy camper.
David/Natalie in LoveActually--Love and politics can go together.
Noah/Allie in The Notebook--There's something about them you can't hate over.
Christian/Satine in Moulin Rouge--the first romance I fell head over heels with. Except the end when Satine dies, :( , which made my heart die as well.
Anakin/Padme in Star Wars Ep. III--They were so cute in the beginning, especially after telling Anakin she was pregnant!

I think Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn are pretty cute too, weren't they in "The Break-Up?"
 
Jack/Rose (Titanic) It's Leo and Kate! They have so much chemistry, it's undeniable, there's like no way people can't love Jack and Rose together.
Jack/Elizabeth (POTC) They could still have a chance but honestly I loved them together in all the movies. Any scene with them is just enjoyable
Tristan/Isolde (Tristan & Isolde) One of the best love stories there could ever be. They're my #1 couple right now, such a great love story
Ron/Hermione (Harry Potter) They haven't got together on screen yet but it's gonna happen and they have amazing chemistry in the movies that even if you didn't read the books, you could tell they were made for each other
