Favorie Cartoon Wild Takes

We all know that wild takes are one of the best elements that makeup cartoons. Just wondering...which are some of the best cartoon wild takes you've seen?

Some that stick out to me are the one's from A Pup Named Scooby Doo; especially from the first and second seasons. Very creative and just completely over the top.

Another would be from the old Chester Cheetah Cheeto's commercials where Chester would completely go crazy at the sight of a bag of Cheeto's. His eyes would just completely bug out, and I think he went so far as to morph into different objects. :D

Courage the Cowardly Dog is a veritable goldmine for this kind of stuff. My abosulte favourite one from the show is pretty simplistic by Courage standards, but still laugh out loud funny. In "Car Broke. Phone? Yes?", he's locked in the closet by a hostile alien. His reaction to the alien sucking out Muriel's kindness via a tentacle up her nasal passage had me in stitches. Huuuuuuge mouth with rotten teeth and detailed tongue, large bloodshot eyes, fur standing on end, the works. And the almost dinosaur-like scream he makes during the take is absolutely priceless.

Another simple-but-effective one is from "The Return of the Chicken from Outer Space". It more or less involves Courage gasping, as his eyes balloon and take up the majority of the screen. It's the combination of that low-key gasp and just how extreme his eyeballs widen that I find so amusing.

If I'm going to go with anything other than Courage, it's gotta be Wolfie from the Droopy short "Northwest Hounded Police". Naturally it has a lot of awesome ones anyway, but the best has to be just after he realises Droopy is the plastic surgeon. Man. Just the way his face goes through so many quick changes. Eyes widen. Quickly turn bloodshot. Mouth gapes open. Cue hillarious scream and tongue spasm.

And while I'm at it, I.M Weasel had a pretty funny one in the clich? episode, with which Weasel was vocally unimpressed.
"Lookie. An egg." non-chalantly uttered by I.R. Swiftly followed by Weasel's mouth dropping to the ground before his eyes rapidly shoot back and forth from their sockets, eventually recoiling and embedding themselves at the back of his skull.

Probably my favorite of all time is from Bob Clampett's "Book Revue" - when Daffy realizes that the Big Bad Wolf is putting salt on his leg with the intent to eat him, he briefly turns into one giant surprised eye before running away. That's one of those things that only Clampett would do.

This was even referenced in a Tiny Toons episode, where Plucky tried to reproduce the "Clampett Corneal Catastrophe", and ended up stuck in mid-take for the rest of the episode. :D
