Faverite video game based on a cartoon?

What is your faverite video game based on a cartoon? Please explain why.

Mine would be TMNT II - The Arcade Game for the Nintendo. I used to rent this on a weekly basis and finally bought it and played it with just about all my friends and beat it multiple times (with game genie). My memories of this gem are so fond I would place it in my top 5 video games of all time.

I was almost always Donetello.

For me, it's probably a tie between TMNT: The Arcade Game and the Konami X-Men game that was based on the Pryde of the X-Men animated pilot. Hours of fun playing those two.

I can't recall many others right now, but I also liked DuckTales and Rescue Rangers for NES.

Tiny Toon Adventures: Buster's Hidden Treasure. Fast platform action, tight controls, good graphics for its time, a variety of levels, hummable music (some of its tunes straight from the show), just the right amount of challenge, good stuff.

I love "Beetle Juice" and "the Addams Family", video games made for the original Nintendo, because they are as enjoyable as their movie counterparts, if not more so, but I think it is a tie between "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" and "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: the Arcade Game", more games made for the original Nintendo, because I find myself playing them a lot, considering how addictive they are, it is no surprise. I guess, I like the second one more, though, because I remember going to Round Table Pizza just to play its arcade counterpart. You would not believe how excited I was to find out that you can play the original arcade version on "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Battle of the Nexuses", apparently I brought it. Other games I like based on movies or shows are "Bugs Bunny: Crazy Castle", "Bugs Bunny: Rabbit Rampage", the original "Tiny Toon Adventures" video games, and "Mickey Mousecapade", I like those ones, because they are very fun and very interesting. There are probably some more, but these will do.

Looneytunes/Disneytoons

I always liked that Looney Tunes racing game (Space Race?) that came out for the Dreamcast first and then the PS2. I liked the appropriate vehicles the characters rode (the Coyote was on a giant Acme rocket, for instance, and I think Bugs Bunny was on a giant flying carrot) and I liked the power ups like the portable holes and giant boxing gloves on extending arms. Was never very good at it, but it was a lot of fun.

Tiny Toons Adventure: Buster Busts Loose. I bought this game back on the SNES because I like Tiny Toons, and this game was AWESOME. And later I found out why. It was made by Treasure, perhaps one of the best video game developers of all time.

The game was just pure awesome on every level. It had a very interesting wall run ability, fun interesting platforming, and some pretty awesome mini games. Plus all the wacky Tiny Toon gags in it, which you might only get if you where a fan of Tiny Toons.

Like you go in to a castle to save Babs' friend, turns out to be the monster from the episode where Babs' befriended said monster. I know there were more little things like that, but I can't think of anything else off the top of my head. I might need to go back and play this game again.

Even though Super Mario 3 was a game before it was a cartoon it gets my vote. It was an amazing game, hell, it still is! It's also the best selling game of all time that is not packaged with a console, it was amazing.

Definently "Sponge Bob Square Pants: Battle for Bikini Bottom"

I bought this game when i was much younger and If i had had the knowledge that MOST games based of films/shows are terrible back then, i never would have bought it. Im glad i did though, being probibly the ONLY good spongebob game, this game was an excellent platformer. I say that if it didnt have it's numerous glitches and easy difficulty, that it would compare to "Super Mario Sunshine" as the best platformerer on GameCube.

INITIAAAAAAAAAL D!!!!!

For me, there has never been a game that has not only have had me, but others, captivated and addicted to it as much as Initial D. Good thing i have a copy of the game from a friend, that really fixes the itch when im in that Initial D mood.

Also, Wangan Midnight is a mighty fun arcade/console game to play too, alot of good memories on that too. Im sure someday the manga will get licensed in america.

And if you want arcades to be sucessful, do magnetic memory cards. Years from now, im going to run across my collection and be like "Man, i remember when that was the **** back in the day, good times... good times."

The Gundam games are also a plus for me too. I pretty much own 90 precent of every gundam game that has been licensed in america, or just the ones that are good.

And those would be my top ones...

DuckTales and Darkwing Duck on the NES stand out for me.

Honorable mentions go to Buster Busts Loose and The Simpsons arcade game (which really needs to get a release on Xbox Live Arcade).

Arcade Games;

TMNT
TMNT: Turtles in Time
The Simspons
X-Men

The NES version of the TMNT arcade game just didn't hold up well for me, IMHO. Especially when it came to the music. They did a better job with Turtles in Time for the NES.

As for game systems, I think I'm the only one who liked the Family Guy game. Awful Cutaway bonus levels aside, it was a fun play.

Then there's the Simpsons: Hit & Run. I've spent hours on that game, just driving around town, looking for damage to cause.

I usually stay clear from games based on tv shows, cartoons, and movies but the only game I make an exception for is TMNT:Turtles in Time. ;)

It may not have aged too well, but I’d have to go with Nickelodeon’s 3D Movie Maker; it was fun to make little movies and since “Rocko’s Modern Life” was my favorite animated program back when it was released, I was thrilled to be able to use some of the characters from that series in the movies that I made. They really need to make a contemporary version of that game.

I liked the three gameboy powerpuff girls games, but the third one used a password system instead of the battery of the other two so I never completed it.

I noticed a lot of people listing Buster Busts Loose. I don't know that I'd call it my favorite, but I do have vivid memories of it. I remember renting it and staying up until nearly daylight trying to beat it. We didn't really have much heat in our trailer and I nearly froze to death because I was focused on getting through that game instead of getting in my bed where I could warm up. I think it even gave me a cold.

My favorite is probably Turtles II or the X-Men arcade game. But I have to give special mention to the Scooby Doo game for Sega Genesis. Instead of being just another platformer, it's an adventure game like Secret of Monkey Island, and a pretty good one that captures the style and look of the show.

They made a Spider-Man game based on the animated series that I remember liking, too. I also really enjoyed the first G.I. Joe game for the NES, which I was able to beat on a rental. You could play as Hawk in the last level and he had a jetpack, which I just thought was awesome. More recently, there was a Transformers game for PS2 that I really enjoyed.

Super Robot Taisen W

It has characters from the MS Gundam Wing universe. Even though, Heero wasn't really my fav.
