First it started with our engine turning over but not firing until around 25 attempts. One day we tried turning it so many times the battery drained. Towed it to a garage and was told its definately the PCM. They have ordered one for us, and for the meantime told us that if we turn the ignition and wait for the buzzing sounds from 2 relays, the check engine light will then come on, and we can start the engine. That worked like a charm, until last night. Now only the first buzzing sound starts, and the check engine light never comes on - so it will not start. And....of course....the Jeep is out of town. Any suggestions on how to get the 2nd relay to buzz? Or if we get the PCM, can we go to the Jeep and install it ourselves? (we don't even know where it is located)...Please help, it's a $400 tow to get it back home!!!
