fatal alert problem

I'm trying to play some long audio files using my realone player on my tungsten T3. Unfortunately, I keep getting this Fatal Alert that reads:

Event.c, Line:208, Event queue full

It can play my regular music mp3's fine but not this audio mp3. The only thing I can think of is that it is like 45 minutes long. Any advice?

If there is no way to play such long files on realone, is there a way I can convert the files to be able to play on my voice memo. Because I know they can play really long audio files.

Thanks.

What bitrate is this MP3 recorded at? If it's more than 128, it may very well use up all the event queue space. It may also be that the MP3 file is damaged. You should try lowering the bitrate first if it's above 128.

I tried to change the bit rate to the lowest setting that realone allows, which is 32 kbps. Still no luck. The files are only like 8 to 10 MB long, not much bigger than a music mp3, which plays fine on my palm. Any other ideas? This is frustrating the crap out of me.

Boy, I don't know about this one. I take it these are audio files, like an e-book? Were these files already in Palm format or converted? If they were converted, what file type were they converted from and what program was used to convert them? I have seen reports of RealPlayer choking on long audio files but I've never seen an answer as to the cause.

I use AeroPlayer, which seems to handle more file types and can play long files without a problem. You can donload a 14 day trial at http://www.aerodrome.us/download.html and see if AeroPlayer will work with your file.

Jim, thanks for the advice. I actually figured it out. I was trying to transfer the file as an mp3, but changed it to realone's format which was audio8 or something and it worked fine. thanks for the help.
