Famous People dislikes in animation

Since there is a topic that talks about what famous people{cartoonists and directors} on their favorite cartoons. Here's the topic that talks about what they happen to dislike. Lets not get out of hand on this one people...I happen to know a few on my head.

I'll start off with Ralph Bakshi's disliking Don Bluth's films. I guess Bakshi is just jealous of Bluth. And Seth Macfarlene dislikes Pixar and dreamworks.

Anyone know anything else? I wouldnt be surprised if John K is mentioned alot in this.

This thread seems a little hard to participate in. John.K opinions are the most easy to get a hold of these days but other cartoonists and their opinions on things are rare because they are out working rather than barking all day like a lunatic which is what John does sometimes. They don't blogs either. Now don't get me wrong, I like John.K as a cartoonist and I love his work but he's not right about everything and can be mean. But frank he is.

Getting someone like Genndy Tartakovsky's opinion on stuff seems unfetchable. You can ask Mr.Ruegger though since he's around!

He did mention that he doesn't much care for the movies in his Playboy interview from last year, but I don't think he's ever flat out bashed either company.

EDIT: Alright, here's a snippet from the interview, although it seems he's talking more about Dreamworks than Pixar.

Matt Groening said that during his younger years, he was disappointed with the show Dennis the Menace. According to him, he was no menace at all, which inspired him to create a cartoon character more menacing. (you know who)

The creators of South Park really hate Family Guy and Seth Macfarlene, that's for sure.

Actually, Groening was disappointed that the live-action Dennis the Menace show didn't live up to the comic strip. He also said that he disliked all animated christmas specials as a kid except for the Mr. Magoo Christmas Carol (I wonder what he thinks about the Grinch and a Charlie Brown Christmas?).

Ralph Bakshi talked about what he specifically dislikes about Don Bluth's films in this interview from Film Addict that I posted on my blog:
http://johnpannozzi.blogspot.com/2008/04/back-to-bakshi.html

Kevin Smith really dislikes Family Guy.

Does Lloyd Kaufman of Troma count as famous? 'Cause I have a rather unpleasant story about I how I posted an extremely negative comment on his blog after he criticized a certain animation company started by George Lucas and currently owned by Disney (I hope Lloyd isn't still mad at me. If you're reading, Lloyd, please forgive me).

Julianne Moore said in Toon Magazine (published by Wizard) that she doesn't really like cartoony cartoons, but loves Disney animated films.

Chuck Jones had a distaste for Who Framed Roger Rabbit (he said that Richard Williams was too subservient to Zemeckis, which is ironic, since Chuck was the one who convinced Richard to work on WFRR), Tiny Toons(in the comments section of this post at TTA vet Jenny Lerew's blog, Jenny descibes how Joe Dante told her Chuck hated TTA on the set of Gremlins 2) and (not surprisingly) Space Jam. In fact, Chuck once made a big speech at a WB studio dinner around 1998 about how much he hated Space Jam and was forced to leave. (you can read about this here).

I'n sure there are many politicians that dislike the show, just like South Park, Beavis and Butthead, and The Simpsons before it. Why not mention that Barbara Bush once called The Simpsons the dumbest thing she had ever seen?

Yes, and the staff behind the show sent her a letter written by Marge Simpson. Barbara apologized after that.

Oh yeah, remember the episode "Two Bad Neighbors"?

Oh, come on.

You do realize that both Chuck Jones and Friz Freleng both saw completed episodes as well as animatics of Tiny Toons before it premiered on television, right? The two surviving Termite Terrace vets did get to see the next generation first, you know.

I think I read somewhere that Ringo Starr hated Mickey Mouse or Donald Duck.
Robert Crumb hated the Fritz the cat cartoon for some reason.

Oh, that reminds me, Ed "Big Daddy" Roth, the guy who created several show cars during the 60's as part of the hot rod craze, hated Mickey Mouse, and it inspired him to create Rat Fink.

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not.

Ringo also hated the Yellow Submarine movie and the Beatles cartoon. Sheesh, did this guy like ANY cartoons?

You can read why Crumb hated the Fritz move here.
Since Spain Rodriguez was appalled by the Fritz movie, I can't help but wonder if there was any friction between him and Ralph Bakshi when Spain later worked on Cool World.
