Family plan with unlimited minutes needed! Please help me find a deal!

I am looking for a family plan for 4 phones with unlimited minutes. All four phones also need unlimited text/picture messages. 3 phones will need unlimited data (as 3 of us are planning on getting android / iphone type phones). Please help us find the cheapest deals. Thanks!

First of all you need to find our which carrier has the best coverage where you plan to use it. Don't guess. Don't rely on the coverage maps, but that is a good place to start. The cheapest deal might not give you the best coverage and what good is a cheap plan when you can't use it?

All carriers have holes in coverage. Once you figure out the carrier, then you have the plan figured out as well.
 
I live 5 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh and from my experience and talking to others there are very few holes / dead spots around from any services I know of. That is something good to think about but I do not think that it is an issue where I live.
 
How about where you work, travel, play, any place you and/or your family will be using the devices. Would make good sense to me to check it out before it is too late to change.
