does anyone know how custody works? i am not a CA resident since i was living in jersey during my marriage. my parents are in CA and and so im' back with them and will file for divorce in CA. however, i can't file for divorce until 6 months..due to residency issues but i want to file for for custody now. is that possible? i just want to be ensured that i have the baby.
