Family Guy - "Tiegs for Two" - Talkback [4/10]

The first 5 minutes of the show was a non-stop ride of laughs. I literally haven't laughed this hard at a Family Guy episode in years. That Street Fighter parody was the cherry on top, absolutely perfect.

The rest of the episode was a standard Brian being unlikeable episode, but I did enjoy quagmire's role as the spiteful mediator. Great continuity nods with Mort's wife and Jillian being single again, as well as Mayor West still having a thing with Meg. That one came out of nowhere for me.

The ending was pretty messed up, but I couldn't help but laugh.

I'm going off of wikipedia. Plus, it could have just been Quagmire giving Brian one last bit of revenge for everything before they stop the feud altogether...... wouldn't be da first time in a cartoon.

Awesome/funny episode,

The highlights:
They showed Peter getting his shirt wet, hahahahaha.
Peter and Washy-Washy's fight was funny, hahahaha, he's another great rival for Peter next to Carter/Ernie The Giant Chicken/James Woods.
Peter's realistic American face, hahahaha.
Bubo the robot owl from Clash of the Titans, hahahaha.
Wooooow, Lois hates the awesome Harry Hamlin.
The Street Fighter parody with Peter vs. Washy-Washy was epic/hilarious, hahahaha, they should do Mortal Kombat next:eek::D:D!!!!
Washy-Washy better come back since he was hilarious, hahahaha.
Denise is pretty hot/great.
Peter hunged up, hahahahaha.
Lois knows Brian's poor dating plots, hehehe.
Peter with his pants pulled down putting Brian outside, hahahahaha.
Megatron and the Decepticons, awesome, and there's Soundwave, my favorite Decepticon:anime:.
Glen having a dating class, interesting.
Nice to see Mort/Mayor Adam West/Seamus/Longjaw/Carl in Glen's class.
The Brian vs. Glen feud continues, awesome, their feuding always cracks me up.
Mayor Adam West licking himself, he's such a weird freak, hahahahaha.
Flashy Brian's flashy clothes look marvelous.
Glen owned Brian on messing up his date with Denise, I knew that was gonna happen.
Cheryl Tiegs the supermodel is super hot.
Glen's flashback was great which Cheryl was an ex-girlfriend of his, interesting.
John Davidson is one funny ugly character, hahahaha.
The black woman in Hine Sight gag, hahahahaha.
Brian scored Cheryl, so evil/funny.
The burning log signals, hahahaha.
Glen scored Jillian, niice, but nice to see Jillian, she's hot/funny/dumb.
Brian/Glen using old girlfriends against each other, classic:D.
Mayor Adam West still dating Meg, WOOOOOW!!!!
Brian/Glen making up was nice, at least they're friends, sort of.
Glen owning poor Brian with his car was brilliant/hilarious, hahahahaha:p:D, their feud still continues, sweet.
Woooow, they totally forgot about the Peter's new shirt subplot, oh well.

Jessica Stroup(Denise) and Cheryl Tiegs were great in their guest star roles.

Excellent episode~ I really liked more depth being added to Quagmire's relationship with his ex. It was sad that Brian stole her away from him but considering all the crap be put him through I didn't feel TOO bad.

Oh and the Street Fighter scene was epic :D

That was from Street Fighter? I thought it was a scene from one of those real Family Guy computer or Wii games or something like that. I guess I should play SF more often so I'll know these things.

I think Peter describing the Fox cutaway was one of those things that dragged on too long. It seems like they have those in every episode these days. It's really getting annoying. They would have been better off just showing that clip. After all, it is called the 'Fox' network.

Note the keyword 'somewhat.' It's hard to tell because they were becoming friends until the car thing which could have just been done so they could put a funny part in at the end. I guess we'll have to see what happens in future interactions between the two of them.

I thought that this episode was hilarious and the best show of the night, with Bob's Burgers coming in second. I should have figured that the Street Fighter joke would go over so well and it was pretty accurate. I kind of wished that Peter got more focus since his story just seemed to... end. I really liked the dynamic between Quagmire and Brian. I had a feeling that Quagmire wasn't going to let Brian in the car, but I didn't see Quagmire running Brian over. Also, yay for referencing the events of "Then There Were Fewer." with Mort and Jillian.

As for the overtly long gag, I'd say that the Beacon one went on longer than the Michael J. Fox one for my pleasure. At least Michael J. Fox one I laughed at due to how Peter explained it, then he just showed it.

Either way, I'm guessing.... AND HOPING.... that maybe Quagmire's finally gotten it all out of his system and maybe him and Brian can start anew....

The car part could have been Quagmire gettin' the last of his anger out before they bury the hatchet.

The beginning with Peter and Mr. Washee Washee was funny to watch. I agree with others that he should return in a future episode. I couldn't believe they kept continuity with both Mort and Jillian being single. Brian and Quagmire slamming each other was the best part of the episode. I actually thought Quagmire and Brian were becoming friends at the end but Quagmire went and ruined that when he hit Brian with his car. I wonder if they will ever become friends?

I think they are slowly. After a claim that Brian was gonna attack kittens in the next episode, Quagmire showed no anger other than turning the plane he was flying around to check in on them. He didn't attack or yell or swear or anything at him.

I think very slowly Quagmire's starting to like Brian or at least accept him.

In "Jerome is the New Black" when Cheryl Tiegs was first mentioned I had never heard of her, and thought she was a regular person Quaigmire dated who Brian somehow knew about. I was surprised when I saw the commercials and heard Cheryl Tiegs announced as a guest star. So I looked her up on wikipedia, and I guess it makes more sense that Brian tricked Quaigmire into thinking she wanted to go on a date when the person was a celebrity.

Also, when Brian started datign Cheryl, I thought he was really testing Quaigmire, in an attempt to get the two together and possibly end Quaigmire's hatred of Brian.
