Thanks to tonight being Seth MacFarlane night, a new episode airs tonight at a special time of 8 PM Eastern. Here is the synopsis:

I like how noone was around to laugh at him when he dated the elderly Pearl in "Brian Wallows and Peter Swallows".

I guess when you're stuck to come up with a plot, this happens.

Yeah, there's a clear difference between senseless bashing and pointing out a flaw.

But alas, it'd be best to wait until we've actually seen the episode.

Brian only had a guardian relationship with her at the time. Later Brian was fed up with all the crap the old woman was giving him. So Brian told her off.

Brian goes home and conveniently finds out who she really was. He then felt bad for what he told her and runs over to apologize to her before she hangs herself. Brian encourages her to go outside. She hesitates of course and Brian breaks into song to let her know all the "great" things she's missed out on.

Afterwords she had the will to go outside. At this point it could be said they had an actual relationship. The Griffin Family had been unaware all of this was going on. The old woman goes outside only to be hit by a car. Later she is laying on her deathbed as a result with Brian by her side. She requests Brian to pull the plug. Brian hesitates at first but goes on with the request. He pulls the plug and she passes away.

...if I remember correctly.

So it doesn't sound like the same plot is being used after all.

I'm not trying to bash on Family Guy, I'm just saying, we've had enough Brian centric episodes involving him dating a woman, do we really need another?

I don't see why they couldn't have written an episode focusing on something other than Brian's relationships, it seems we get 6 of these episodes every season.

I don't see the big deal. I don't recall a mass amount of Brian's relationship based episodes being produced every season. Only a few episodes based on his relationship with Jillian and during the time he was with Jillian some episodes would have a few bits involving Jillian. I don't see the harm in it.

It depends on how it's being handled. The BrianXJillian that was going on never seemed bad at all. Prior episodes before the whole Brian and Jullian that may have had a potential love interest for Brian usually ended quickly in the same episode. Like in the episode where the was a debate on whether the school's name should be changed.

There is no harm in it. Brain is one of the most important characters on the show and is also one of Seth's personal favorite characters. Relationship troubles are one of the biggest parts of Brian's character. If the fact that this plot seems recycled bothers you, why not skip it? It's better than complaining.

I loved how they did the bathtub gag this time. :anime:
I like how Peter is handling all his problems with "Road House".

What did Peter do to Joe?

I think it had to do more with the movie than with Robin Williams since it was put on a shelf with other singing DVDs.
