Falling down(Michael Douglas)

Saw a 35mm screening about a month ago. It's an interesting little film that demonstrates a surprising amount of restraint considering the cast/crew's previous credits...

Does anyone else agree the ending lets it down, though? It is so so good up until the damn pier. Douglas is excellent, he is all too easy to empathise with, the relationship between Robert Duvall and is Rachel Ticotin is very atypical for Hollywood movies and very well done (his wife is great too!). Then they blow it by - why?!!! - having Douglas' wife run on to a pier.

Nevertheless, a thought provoking, (otherwise) well executed movie. I know several blokes who say this film really disturbed them that they identified with it so much.

Superb movie. I didn't think the ending let it down. I thought it was a very sad ending and it was handled well.

Falling Down is Michael Douglas' best ever movie in my opinion, I don't think i've ever seen Robert Duvall put in a better performance either.
