Fairy Cartoon Help

I remember a cartoon about fairies from either the 70's or 80's. The head honcho fairy (I think she's the leader because of how she interacted with other fairies) had blonde hair and and big pink dress. It wasn't a spatacular show (which could be why I seem to have trouble finding out about it). If any of you guys remember the title, or anything else about it, I appreciate the help.

Oh yeah, one of the fairies wore red and another wore purple.

That sounds to me like Star Fairies, a TV special that was based on a line of dolls that was produced by Hanna-Barbera studios and ran in syndication in October 1985.

The Star Fairies were led by Princess Sparkle. FTR, the other Fairies' names were Whisper, Jazz, Truelove, Nightsong (the African American) and Spice (who was voiced by Didi Conn of Grease fame). A young Drew Barrymore provided the voice of a young girl named Hilary in the special.

Nope, Desdiablo said it was 70's or 80's; that eliminates both of those. Plus, there was no blond head honcho fairy in a pink dress in either of those.

Des also mentions one fairy being clad in red and another in purple; that sounds like the characters of Jazz and Truelove, respectively.

I think Blackstar nailed it; it sounds like Star Fairies to me, though SF was a one-shot TV special, not an ongoing series.
