Fainting?

Hello, my friend (yes it really is a friend, not the old cliche' for one's self) faints. And the fainting is usually accompanied by a bad headache. She also says she sometimes faints when around large groups of people.

I'm no doctor, but these both seem to be two separate issues with a similar result. The first one sounds more serious, the second one sounds more ..... odd.

Apparently this has been going on and off for a few years and it happened again the other day. She claims she was standing in her bedroom, next thing she knew her boyfriend was standing over her yelling at her to wake up. She then said she had a horrible headache and she just wanted to sleep. She then claimed this headache persisted through the night and didn't go away until the next morning and only after taking over the counter headache remedies multiple times.

I of course questioned what the doctor said, being this seems like a pretty big deal, and her reply was she saw no doctor. She gave me an answer why and pretty much said that shes afraid to see if anythings wrong. I got kinda upset because this seems a little more important than a scrape on the knee.

Thing is I never heard of such a thing. Has anyone else?

The next time your friend says: that shes afraid to see if anythings wrong. ....tell her there is already something wrong. Tell her it is time to go to the doctor and get the help she needs so she doesn't faint/seizure someday and kill someone accidentally. Good luck. There is medicine she can take so she doesn't seizure or whatever she calls it.

I of course already said that and more. I read her the riot act up and down... I didn't mention that because I didn't feel it to be relevant. I would just like to know if anyone out there may have some insight as to whats causing this, or have even heard of anything like this before. I was totally baffled.

Perhaps if I had better "ammo" I could convince her to go.
