Fainting and lack of energy

Hi, im 17, my health in general is normally pretty good, but earlier on this year i started collapsing, for reasons i dont yet know. it has lasted over six months from about january. it doesnt happen everyday but when it does it leaves me feeling extremely lethagic and weak. the first time it happened it lasted over a week, i kept blanking out at any given moment and my appetite became non existant, whereas normally i am quite a big eater. i want to find out what may have caused this to happen so i can stop it from reoccuring. i am currently doing my A-levels but have coped with stress like this before so i didnt think it could have been the cause. i am a little scared now as it happened again recently during one of my exams, and i dont want to fail because of it.
Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you
Courts xx

do you eat normally? is it around your period?

here is what used to happen to me:
when i was younger (16/17) and i was bleeding heavy on my period... i could pass out at any moment. i found out later i was borderline anemic. this with stress could be making you pass out. is your diet special? i know you may think you eat alot...but you might not.

I used to think i ate normally, but i probably could have been anorexic at that age with how little i was really eating. you just dont care about food at that age.

my suggestion: go to the doctor and get a full blood work up to check for anemia, diabetes, etc. take a multivitamin with iron. and drink lots of juices and water when you are feeling weak. your sugar levels may also be low. eat lots of protein and these times too.

lots of people pass out with exhaustion... you may need to find ways to cope with your stress levels.

good luck, i know its very scary. if your blood comes back okay. it may be the period thing... i went on birth control and it seemed to regulate my cycle enough to where i was losing too much blood.
