Failing a class on Financial Aid?

I'm currently a Sophomore at UW. Long story short, I had a really awful quarter.. A lot of personal problems going on at home and I also took two science classes together and did awful in both of them. I am thinking that I might fail my biology class and I intend on retaking it next quarter. My question is, how will this affect my financial aid status? I'm currently on loans right now, not necessarily receiving any "free money". Besides my mom being incredibly mad at me, what other consequences will there be? Will I get my financial aid taken away?
Please help me understand what will happen. I am usually a good student so this is unfamiliar territory for me. I have never failed a college course.
To the poster who asked if i am ready for college, I have been in college for two years now. I have been doing great until this point, but thank you for feeding my insecurities. I have made a lot of mistakes this quarter and i do not intend on letting it ruin my college career, which is why I wanted to know what would happen.
