I have to repeat a physics lab course that I received a D in. I am going to re-take the class, but I am confused on whether or not the new grade will replace the old grade. I looked into my school's catalog and this was all I found:
Repeating Courses For Credit:
Students are permitted to repeat only courses in
which a grade of “D” or “F” has been earned. When
students repeat courses, the grade recorded on the
transcript and the computed cumulative grade point
average will be based on the grade earned most recently
(even if it is lower than the previous grade
earned).
I am still confused after reading this. Can somebody please tell me what they think??
