why do I have constant, severe pain after spondeolosis, scoleosis, degenerative disk surgery.

There could be lots of reasons and one of them could be because of failed back surgery. Have you had any recent tests or seen any doctors to find out why you have the continued pain?

If you have degeneration going on....one probably will experience some pain. As we age, our spinal discs break down and you lose fluid in your discs. This makes the discs less flexible and thinner. This may cause the disc to break up/tear.

You are only going to be able to see this on an MRI, CT Scan, or mylegram.

When was your last back surgery? If it has been less than 3 months, it is very possible to be your nerves trying to find their place back in to the right spot. There is a period that you go from getting better to all of the sudden, being in worse pain than you can ever remeraber being in. It is a normal part of the healing process. Also, when did you last see your surgeon? You may want to call him and inform him of the new pains.
