Lat October I experienced sudden severe pain which has been diagnosed as facet joint due to MRI not finding anything else. I had cortisone shots which helped but only short term, then radiofrequency neuropathy which has worsened things. I am not able to work, and small tasks using my arms set it off and disable me for the day, washing up, ironing even one thing, washing my hair. My life is at a complete stand still, i lost my work and my relationship and am exteremely isolated. Next week I see another Neurologist. I have asked my GP why he cannot just jab me with local anaesthetic in that area a few days a week so I can still have a life. He really hasn't answered that question. I am about to lose my home because I just cannot work and am not covered, I only have Social Security to live on. I take Panadeine Forte when it is impossible to just sit, but my life is in tatters. Does anyone have experience with local anaesthetic as ongoing treatment option please? What else is there? Why am I to see another Neurologist when my feeling is I am supposed to be seeing a bone/spine person? I don't even know what they are called but assume they are Othopedic? The only thing which gives me any pain relief is pushing back hard against a recliner and strangely enough driving is okay, I think because my back is against the seat...The pain is in my bra area, where I did have an epidural for another surgery last year, but they are ignoring that fact.
Thanks in advance.
