Hi...this is my first time at this, so i'm not sure if i'm doing it right yet...
i have had thoracic pain for 2 years now. i have tried accupuncture, chinese herbs, reiki, bowen, physiotherapy, chiropractor, denervation, cortisone injections, and probably more but i have forgotten. the only pain relief that seems to work is Celebrex which is anitinflamatory, all others including morphene did nothing for the pain whatsoever. i currently see a great doctor in melbourne Australia, but so far no one can help me. i live 4 hours away from melbourne so every trip is not only exhausting and painful but expensive as well. i am managing to work full time (i just hide the pain and when i get home i get cranky and i'm so tired from the pain all the time) fortunately i have two girls who help with the everyday chores so i can still work to pay for everything...i'm definately at the end of my tether now and i would really appreciate anything anyone had to offer as a way out of my debilitating pain...thanks netty

Hi Netty It sounRAB like you are at the end of your tether. I can't believe denervation did not help with the pain. What type of physician do you see now? Have you ever been seen in a pain management group?

I know how debilitating pain can be. I was about at the end of my rope and was sent to see a psychologist and he was a tremendous help. He not only listened to me which made me feel better but he prescribed an anti=depressant to take along with the pain meRAB and that was a BIG help. Pain is terrible. You hurt, you can't sleep, you become depressed and it is just a viscious circle. Why don't you ask your doc about anti-depressants. They really help with pain control. There is help out there and I do hope you can find some relief.

I don't know how much or even if this will help you . I hope it gives you some solace to know you aren't out there all alone. Jane, the invertebrate.
