I have back pain on both the left and right sides. My doctor did facet joint infections on one side a year ago which greatly helped my pain on both sides. I canceled an appointment to do the other side. I just had 5 joints on one side done again and he says I need to get the other side done too. My husband lost his job and our insurance runs out next week; we'll have another $2000 deductible again next year. I can't find any information which talks about whether both sides need to be done. I also have fibromyalgia.
