i recently posted this on my facebook : History teaches us that no other cause has brought more death than the word of god.

and i got this response : than people's false interpretations of the word of god. nowhere in the bible does it discuss killing others for the sake of the lack of their "religiosity" in fact, it says the opposite-- that we are to love EVERYONE despite their sins, beliefs, affiliations, or character flaws because nobody is perfect.
Unfortunately, like any good thing, it has been wielded as a tool to discourage amiability between humans.

what should i reply back with, what would u say to her

this girl is right on the mark.

Yes people have wielded the bible as a tool to stop the growth and lovingkindness/ forgiveness between fellow humans.

Man has done damage to the Word of the Lord.
The Lord would not have us to kill each other, as we under Grace.

It was the Catholics who decided to kill in the name of God, which God forbids vehemenantly.

Do the real research, it is openly recorded in history that the conversions and wars were due to false religious doctrine.


Romans 12 commands holiness to the Lord and not "paying back" the enemy, but giving them food drink.

we are taught of God, that we were once enemies, but that God died for our sins and now have forgiveness. This is what we are to be to others.
