facebook chat is really annoying please help!!!?

when i try to chat on my computer with facebook it says sending but on other computers it does not why is this so, and could this be because i have viruses on my computer and if that is why how can i delete them?
only a year old computer
 
its probably because your computer is old, or something is slowing your computer down if it says sending for a really long time.
