Facebook chat and messages combined?

This week i log onto facebook and it tells me that my message and chat have basically been combined. if i go on my messages i see the IM's i have sent, and vice versa. i want the old way back were the messages and chat are sperate! anybody have this problem or know how to turn it off?
 
I don't think you can go to traditional way, where chat and messages are different. I think they made this stuff just like an archive. I know its pretty annoying but there's nothing that we can do about it.
